AT LONG LAST!

Aaaargh, I can't seem to find time to update this blog or to follow everyone else's blogs! My sincere apologies for these long breaks between posting.

Mainly, it's because we've been caught up in the house-buying whirlwind. It's almost at an end, thank goodness: we're now waiting to hear whether the bank approved the sale and will give us the keys. Keeping my fingers crossed ...

In the meantime, I finally got around to taking an outfit photo! I wore this dress to our niece's first birthday party last weekend:

 

I adore this dress so much I bought it in two colors when I found them on clearance! I usually wear them with skinny jeans, but since it was summer I thought I'd just wear it as it was meant to be worn, a dress. However, I didn't feel all that comfortable with the length, so from now on I think I'll continue to wear it as a long top, instead.

With it, I wore these darling satin sandals that I've owned forever:

Got them at Ross years ago. I loved the little-bitty kitten heel:

 

I hardly ever get to wear them, so I was thrilled to finally be able to do so. They were very comfortable at the party, and we had a great time!

Tomorrow's the Fourth, so I've got a red-white-and-blue dress all lined up for that! Will definitely post a photo.
