SKIRT LOVE, PART DEUX

You know how much I adore skirts, and every year there's a new crop of beauuuuutiful ones that I just end up wanting desperately! Here's my wishlist of this year's skirts. I already own one, and some of the rest I'm watching like a hawk to go on clearance. ^_^

First, this lovely, long, cotton wrap skirt by Lucky Brand. I have a similar long wrap skirt with a bright, Indian-style pattern that I got in Sri Lanka, but this one has a different pattern and colors. These are just perfect for travel in hot Third World countries in southern Asia, where I hope to go this summer.

I adore this lightweight denim "Randee" skirt by 7 For all Mankind, not least because the name of its color is "Sri Lanka"! It's sold out online, but should be available at better department stores:

I love the fun colors in this breezy pull-on skirt from Old Navy! I want to get this to wear for work in the summer, because it gets really hot here in California and I can be with the children at recess, outdoors, only in a skirt like this.

This festive cotton skirt by Roxy has a really interesting color combination! You can find it at Zappos:

And last but not least, the skirt I own, the "Lotus" by Dittos! I got the blue denim version on clearance at Macy's, but you can find some sizes of the cool corduroy version, shown below, at DJ Premium. I just fell head-over-heels for its unique 1970s vibe and its versatility -- it's perfect in the colder months with my little suede jackets, but also fab in the warmer months because the fabric is lightweight denim, and goes wonderfully with my summer t-shirts! I had to have it as soon as I laid my eyes on it, and my mother agreed too. It's got little brown suede patches below the groovy front pockets, and a little hearts chain too. Love!

I think the burnt orange denim kick-pleat skirt is really cute. Nice to wear on the weekends!

Thanks! It's a very unique skirt, and perfect for busty galz like me because the pocket details balance the figure.

Me too! I'd never have thought orange and lavender go together, but they're really pretty on that skirt.

Thank you! Roxy has great skirt prints and colors, for the most part. You can always find loads of their clothes on clearance at our local Nordstrom Rack. Most of their styles are too young for me, but the skirt is pretty ageless, I think.

One of the cool things about the Dittos skirt I got is that it can be worn both ways ... front and back! The back has no pockets but is really nice too.

I'm not usually a fan of Roxy but I really like the colours and print of that skirt!

Thanks so much for your incredibly sweet comment on my bday post! I really appreciate it :):)

Also, just to let you know, I'm having a blog contest and the prize is a Rachel Leigh Sex and the City-inspired studded belt. I hope you'll check it out!

Hi Danz!

I really liked the Roxy skirt print too, which is interesting because Roxy prints are usually not as pretty or interesting as this one is.

It's not a skirt I'd buy (want the 7 FAMK one too badly lol!), but I was really taken with the print and color combo too.

I love all your choices, skirts are the one place where I get "print crazy". I just pair them with a solid color top to feel put together and adventurous at the same time.

Thanks! I absolutely love prints on skirts too. I think printed skirts are a flattering look for most figure types.
